Posted by SJSdude on 4/7/2007, 4:31 pm There's an air of confidance around the program that I haven't seen for a long time. The players are working hard, and a very competative with one another. New O-lineman Isaac Leatiota looks very good, especially for a freshman. John Konye was impressive with his pass catching abilities. The drill I watched was not at full speed, so I can't vouch for his speed. He reminds me a bit of Dave Casper (Ghost to the post), partly because of his wearing #87, but mostly because he catches the ball with ease. Watched the QB's as well. Tafralis looks sharp. Kyle Flynn threw some great passes. His release point seems a bit low. The QB that really impresses me is redshirt freshman Jordan LaSecla. He throws a tight spiral, and is very accurate. He's going to be a good one for the Spartans. Both Matt Castelo and Chris Owens were out. But, they were both walking around fine, so nothing to be worried about. Chad Bozzo was working out with the WR's. Dwight Lowery looks to be in mid-season form. Very few of the WR's were making catches against him. Ran into SpartanJoel on my way out. Looking forward to hooking up with the gang at next week's Spring Game.

I was able to stop by on Friday and watch about an hour of practice. Just a few notes:
