"ESPN will have an opportunity to showcase our team, our students and our fans in a national telecast," said football head coach Dick Tomey. The San Jose State-Hawaii game is one of 10 games involving Western Athletic Conference teams that will be televised by ESPN and ESPN2. ESPN and ESPN2 now can be seen in nearly 100 million viewer homes.

Spartan football will be showcased nationally by ESPN.
Denver, Colo.-----For the third year in a row, the San Jose State University football program will be featured in a network telecast. The Spartans, champions of the 2006 New Mexico Bowl, will host the University of Hawaii, Friday, October 12, in a 5:00 p.m. game televised by ESPN at Spartan Stadium.
