Even as she spoke, the gray was searching the smaller mare, brow furrowing and wind reaching with invisible hands to touch, combing through Oceantree's dark tresses and drifting across the other mare's chocolate shoulders as she lessened the distance between them stride by inquisitive stride.

It is said silently in the still space between their minds even as the bay said her name, Fei's expressions softening in both delight and disbelief.
"Oceantree...my darling little Oceantree, is that you?" she asks breathlessly, hopeful and, at the same time, reluctant. The mare who stood before her now was not the Oceantree she remembered, but it was Oceantree all the same and Fei loved her all the same. "Has it really been that long? Look at you, you've grown up."
