It is Hesper who is the most uncomfortable. Even in her wrap of coloured air that her mother so protective braided with Hesper’s own, she cringed at the feeling of Kairi’s flames. Her air was raw, and new and fresh, tamed currently only by her mother’s air (mostly Bifröst). So she could feel it down in her soul, the fire and it frightened her, and she clung to her mother, who crooned and whispered, and cradled her head as the rainbows flicker, dashing out yellows and reds and oranges in crude, playful, imitations of Kairi’s flames.
Lycoris remained bright, even as the shadows on her lean face flickered on and off – combat between the glow of her rainbows, and the flickers of Kairi’s fire. Amber eyes catch Asher, and her smile is sweet towards him, as flickers of colour – this time an entire rainbow spectrum – slink towards him and curl playfully through his legs, winding, winding, winding, like a cat around his legs. Softly she laughs at his wonderment, and it’s sweet and delighted, and this sounds makes Hesper calm slightly. Her amber eyes, are looked only at Asher then, as she is almost buried under Lycoris. From around speckled legs, the buckskin watches the colt.
“Make the rainbows? Not a hundred percent sure, but I know it’s Bifröst,” Her reply is chirped happily, ears swivel and from this comes rings of air – that give the flaming mare a large birth, instead content to flicker between Hesper and Asher. “Seems you’ve quickly acquired a lot of crackle n pop there Kairi!” Yet Lycoris blinks confused, with a wry smile still dug onto the grey spattered lips, “Do what to you Kairi? Also, d’you know how to turn it down yet? I’m afraid Hesper’s going a little bit wild with all the fire, she’s not that used to it yet,”
... fingers crossed, all is not lost...
