I had sex with him, if it’s what you want to know. I had twins, she shrugs, a roll of shoulders and no more. Love, I love no one, Alcatraz.

But that isn’t entirely true, is it? Because she loves her family. Oh, not in the sense Lycoris loves her daughter, not at all – hell, she’s a bad mother as-is – but she does.

We killed him because he hurt my family, and at this her eyes return to him – yellow as brimstone and as dead as it. No one does that to my family. No one.

Not even you, is implied.

Here she pauses – or the winds do – and her back turns to him, because she knows – knows – what will happen next. Because he’ll hurt her daughter and she’ll be forced by that very same loyalty – her weakness, if you will – to pay it back to him. Not alone – she isn’t stupid – and not right away – she isn’t stupid – but eventually.

Nothing personal, really.

I held him down. Gleipnir is a most delicious thing; it drains one stupid after awhile or chokes them if they struggle. Accendare, my half-sister, killed him. She is a dragon, did you know? Impervious to most types of attack. My daughter Alkonost was there, but it was not she who killed him; as I said, it was Accendare. He bit my sister and twisted her mind. He shouldn’t have.

It’s then that she remembers the other one – the black one, unbound from elemental weaknesses, unbound from such frivolous things as abilities. The gentle one, yes, but she was not named Jörmungandr for rainbows and cupcakes.

Perhaps she won’t have to strike, in the end.

As for the army, I will keep that in mind, she smiles, Fenrisulfr does, because she isn’t as inflexible as to remain in one mood for very long. Air and water are the elements of change, after all. Especially since I know part of it actually belongs to me. Naughty naughty, Alcatraz.
