In a world that is becoming increasingly dark to the black witch, Lycoris is a breath of fresh air, a ray of sunlight. Perhaps this time Wicked will be able to have a real, unbroken conversation with the other mare, and she will also have the opportunity to expose her daughter to someone who may just have a good influence on her. Lord knows that Wicked herself is no good influence, and the filly will have no father in her life to keep her in line.

Freya is bouncy as ever, and she has already taken an interest in her element. Today she has braided daisies into her hair, and she has learned that she can literally charm the birds out of the trees. Freya, can you leave the animals alone, please? Wicked scolds her with a mixture of exasperation and amusement as she watches a robin land on the fillys head, chirping happily. Freya only giggles and picks up the pace of her trot to keep up with her mother. She has already proven herself headstrong, a quality that Wicked is not sure if she should be concerned about or proud of.
Freya runs ahead once they are in view of Lycoris as if she can already tell that there is a potential playmate in the other mare. Wicked opens her mouth to tell her to slow down, but she then decides against it, chuckling to herself as the filly runs right up to Lycoris and stops only barely short of her. Hi, I'm Freya, she says with a childlike grin. Mommy said you might play with me. By this time, Wicked has caught up with her daughter, and she nudges the little one with her nose. I see you have met my forward little daughter, she says with mock annoyance, glancing quickly at Lycoris before turning her attention back to Freya. What did I tell you about personal space, Freya? The filly backs up a couple steps, but the hopeful look does not leave her eyes. Headstrong indeed.
