He stands idle, alone, and forsaken.
A shadow in the night, curling his earth around him like it will be his last breathe, one last painful breathe. He can feel the burning desire inside him, the hate, the cruelty, the inevitable as he would call it. Because with all good things comes something bad. A ragged sigh escapes him as Nimir-raj curls around the base of his feet. He shivers but not because of the cold, but because he does not know himself, he is foreign in his own mind, and he hates it.
And it burns brightly inside him.
His earth cools over him, vines waning and waxing through his mane, his skin flexing as it ripples like water exposing the hard pieces that cover his skin, brown compared to his gold and white. His eyes wander to the sky as the phoenix bares only the symbol of Nicodemus. He watches it for a moment before it curls up and goes back to where it came from. Nimir-raj awakes, his yellow eyes watching into the darkness of the night as he looks up at Micah and nods. The large black panther gets to his feet, his back arches as he stretches, his claws moving in and out of their own sockets. And Micah just watches, as he moves away from the shallow hole in the cliff as Nicodemus’s voice penetrates his mind.
He moves into the night. Following the call. Nimir-raj leaps and bounds ahead of him one moment, then back at his side the next.
It does not take as long as he thought it would of. He wades into the clearing Nicodemus glowing in his usually fire-y glory. Micah just watches, the boy and his cat both watch him. Before his eyes move about the clearing, to and fro and notice it is only him. First to arrive at their little party.
“Nicodemus“ He says after a time, his neck bows as his head dips lightly. His ears casually flick back and forth listening for the others.
And for now he waits with the fire-man and his pets.
Waiting for the others.
As he broods within himself, displeased with himself, but trying to hold his usual level and rational head so it goes unnoticed.
He nods to Nimir-raj and he too bounds into the forest to find the others. Micah lets his mind be quite, letting Nicodemus call them with his own.
