Here is what I tell my teachers. It only takes a few seconds but I love how big their eyes get once they realize the list goes on and on. LOL.
'My role is to address communication problems that impact the educational environment. These problems include but aren't limited to speech sound disorders, social skills/communication deficits related to autism spectrum disorders and other pragmatic issues, fluency, voice disorders, oral expression and comprehension of verbal information. In the older grades, my role is to help teachers modify curriculum and teach strategies to students to assist in their work. I act as a consultant, direct therapist, assessment and expert on communication deficits in the schools that I serve."
You should give an inservice!
