Speechtxisfun... I could not agree with you more!! Reg. ed teachers have ~25 students in their class. They are expected to know these students and know how to work with them. Special ed teachers typically have ~15 students and are expected to know how to give them the help they need. Yet, we can have 2 times, 3 times, or even 4 times more students than that and yet we are expected to know these students and to provide them quality therapy. How is that right??
Well, it's now the second quarter, and most days I can't remember the specific goals that each student is working on without checking their paperwork!! I don't feel like I 'know' my kids the way I really would like to to do my best work with them!
