I honestly feel that we are sometimes the "dumping" ground for kids that noone else wants to take the time to work with. I have a colleague that is practically bullied at conferences into taking and keeping every kid on her caseload for years, whether they need it or not. Also comes down to your administration and whether they fully support you or not.
