They do not honestly "acknowledge" the amount of sped paperwork we have. We get the same 30 minute planning period that a reg.ed. classroom teacher gets..they do not do ERs, RRs. IEPs, Medicaid billing, screens and such...I must steal time away from my family life to get it done I don't get why our load is so much higher than other sped staff like learning support, autistic support and life skills teachers...why are we the work-horses?
