Hi,
QUestion...I gave the CELF and the SSI-3 to a fluency student that I evaluated and am picking up. My question is....when I report his scores to his mom at the ER meeting I will report his percentile rank for CELF as 77, normal language skills, and then on the SSI-3 he was severe (which he really is) but the percentile rank is 78? Please help me understand....On the CELF his language abilities are better than 77% of kids his age, right? SO how do I explain a severe stutterer with a percentile rank of 78? It seems to me that since he is "severe" his percentile rank should be low. What am I missing? Mom will jump all over me on this at the eval....she is extremely aggressive and anxious...gee wonder why the son stutters so bad
Thanks for all responses and help!!
