Hi again, Beyond being offended by the Cadillac posts I guess I never felt like we are required to do bare minimum or Volkswagon services. I always feel that people expect my services to be top notch and that is what I try to provide. The benefit of working in a school is that I have the opportunity to consult with a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, two good social workers, excellent sped staff, and since we are low income a lot of excellent title staff. I'm a member of the student assistance team as the special ed voice and feel that our whole school wants cadillac services for our students. We are already having meetings on kindergarten students. Why do we feel that we are the only ones that can provide services to children? I am not going to tackle reading and phonological awareness if the student is getting research based services at an intense and daily level from Title or special ed. I have faith in my fellow educators and feel that we make decisions that are best for kids-that is why it is hard to accept recommendations from an outside service provider that is not familiar with our programming and how we do things.
