HOw do you get ASD students to "listen" to you?

My kids with ASD of course do best with one on one instruction with visuals but there are times they have to listen to auditory input in a larger group of 4-5. They don't listen. They are stimming, zoning the whole time and then try to respond by faking an answer based on my intonation. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
