Does he have any other consonants--can he do VC? You can target IN, ON , UP, OUT if so while playing. I do very simple puzzles and we say IN/OUT. Can he make animal sounds? (moo, baa) Have you tried Noisy Stories by Joan Rivard--available from Mayer-Johnson--to increase consonant repertoire? Try functional words like Want, no, yeah or More that he can practice over and over. I play bounce ball with my new talkers, and they have to ask for ball (by saying ba or mo) to toss one. That's pretty motivating for them. Have you tried music or repetitive books? Good luck!
