I don't know about any informal ones, I just use the SCAN. But no matter what you have to send the child to an Aud, b/c we cannot dx CAPD. On the ref. you could write what concerns you have (like..___ has difficulty attending to auditory information) Also, give him a verbal test and a similar test with visual cues. If it is CAPD you should see higher scores on the test visual prompts than one that is just given verbally. (as long as nothing else is going on with this kiddo!)I have used the LPT and PPVT ans compared the vocab scores.
