Posted by Mattus the Maniac I think the worst thing we could do is go over to the I really don't know how to look at the situation. I'd I think it is about time our country had a revolution. If you look at our country, which is supposed to be a But, in the end, you are left with the age-old I think the answer would lie with great thinkers like Although, I love hardcore/punk rock and all it stands Form discussion groups in school, at work, at home, on ....I am curious to see other's ideas

Is it time to take punk/hc ideas beyond the scene?
middle east and take innocent lives.
If we go to the middle east and take innocent lives we
are probably falling into a trap like you said. And
also we would be committing the same acts we condemn.
like to think our country is going to do something
smart. But, looking over our history, I don't think we
will. Not only can we benefit from Mid-Eastern oil,
but we also can "control" difficulties in the Mid-East
by carefully destroying every functioning part of
civilization they have. If you read some other forms
of Press you will find out that our country has
already mostly destroyed everything in the middle east
that could be destroyed anyway.
We are long overdue anyway. Like Thomas Jefferson
said, our country should rewrite it's laws every 15
years because if we don't they become obsolete and a
thing of the past. Our "American" ideals seem to be so
blurred and obsolete that I think it is really hard to
say what our nation stands for anymore. Sure we have
character traits of what it is to be American, but how
many people can accurately depict what our government
does day in and day out.
democracy, you see lots of hippocricy. We all know
that Ralph Nader, never really stood a chance of
election, because he didn't have the money to throw
around like George W. and Gore. Thus, as Marxist
theory states, "The power lays in the hands of those
with the money." Not to mention all our other forms of
political corruption. Such as corporate persuasion,
and all the other "political bargaining" that goes on
behind closed doors. Thus, the government really isn't
in the hands of the people anymore, our government
stands behind capital interests.
question of What to do? What action or actions if

overthrow the scales without massive bloodshed?
Martin Luther King Jr, Gandhi, and other leaders of
non-violent humanistic reform acts. Basically, we have
to find a way to get our voices heard in a
constructive and helpful ways.
for. I really don't feel that by screaming in a punk
band anyone is going to listen to us or take us
seriously. I am not saying there is anything wrong
with punk/hardcore, I am just saying we have to find a
course that relates to the masses. And, those of us
that really want to make a change may have to band
together and work together for change in a way society
will see as respectable.
the internet, in national parks. Organize and show
ideas for creative change. Because with creative,
constructive new ideas, comes people willing to pursue
them. If anyone has any ideas or would be willing to
try to organize something let me know I definitely
would be down and willing to help. I think alot of it
could be done on the internet. I am sure we could make
a super cool organization or something.... I think the
key is to take back the power, and put action back
into our lives.
