Although we will post official notification of Rafe`s passing on I would just like to thank all of you who have posted your messages of condolence to Rafe`s family and Shell-Shock.
He was one of life`s true genius`s. I owe him a debt of unimnaginable proportions for teaching me so much about music and life; he was quite simply, one in a million, and even that doesn`t do him justice. He was what pushed the band to the very limits of creativity; always strving to be an individual and shocking in everything he did. This has also been reflected in his untimely death. Let`s face it, he was never going to `go quietly`. I just cannot believe I am never again going to look over at him before staritng a show.
I would just like to also add my massive gratitude and thanks to his family at this incredibly difficult time. They have done so much for me and Shell-shock and `thank you` would never be enough. They have my deepest sympathy at this very difficult time.
`Say not in grief that he is no more, but in thankfulness that he was`.
May the angels carry you to heaven and I`ll see yo up there for a jam some time.
