im a begginer when it comes to electronics..
although, im doing the same sorta thing.. ive found your site, it seems you have had this posted awhile.. Im looking to build my own remote starter for my cars... and it seems an uhf transmitter and reciever will carrier my distance and go through walls if the signal is powerful enough...but in reply to your question..when you create your alarm, you will probably need a 2 sets of uhf trans & reciever or something like that..to carry the signal back and forth... Most likely you have to have a switch on your doors and a second transmitter on your car,and a second reciever in your house , after the switch has been closed, send a signal back to your house and then activate a relay or a timer IC, and send current to some sorta device that creates sound.. that should be how it would work somewhat...
