interfacing keypad and encoder

hello.. i'm doing my final project about the home security system. can i know how to write the C programming for the interfacing the 4x4 matrix keypad(membran cell keypad)with the 74C922 encoder..besides that,i need to know how to write the password detection for this.Can anyone help me to write the C programming to show me how it work.Thanks a lot..
