Wonderful story. I remember my crossing guard when I was in elementary and she was always a bright spot in our day. She would ask us if we had a test that day, and on the way home ask us how we did.
Perhaps you could invite these gentlemen back some day when you have a special party or event in the school. They are probably curious about what everyone does there!
