Just the other day, I was in a therapy session at a daycare with a three year old boy, who has just begun to talk. We were imitating oral motor movements with a latex mouth when another girl in the daycare entered the room with her father to get her coat. On her way, she saw the mouth and wanted to have it. Figuring that I would use this as a language opportunity, I reminded my client to "use his words". Well, that is exactly what he did when in the sweetest voice he told the girl to "go away". Her father just looked at me as I shrugged my shoulders. I was thinking more along the lines of "my turn", but apparently my client had something else in mind. LOL
