I work at a day school for children with autism. Some are mute, some are vocal, many are profane. One morning our school administrator was leading a group of potential donors on a tour of the school. As I was walking a child back to his classroom after therapy, we passed the group in the hall and the administrator gave us a cheery "Good morning!" My 6 year old student replied,"*@#^ off!" Without missing a beat, the administrator beamed proudly at us as we continued passed, saying, "Would you believe? Only 3 months ago that child couldn't say a word!"
