Everyone at my school has to pitch in and help with the end-of-grade achievement testing. SLPs are no exception. I had to administer the "EOG" to 4 children whose second language was English. I read the directions for the reading comprehension test and the students began. The evaluation is quite long and tiring even with two 3 minute breaks. Towards the end of the test I noticed one third grade girl raise both hands and look up in my direction. Thinking that she was raising her hand to ask a question, I went over and asked her what she needed. "Oh, nothing," she said. "I was just saying to myself 'Thank you,Jesus! I'm almost finished!'"
