That is a good one! I worked in a middle school as a speech-language teacher and one session still gets me laughing every time I think about it.
We were working on expanding sentence length in writing, encouraging the students to use "6th grade vocabulary", as opposed to simple sentences (e.g. I like candy. I have a cat).
My students were feeling apprehensive about using "bigger words" but I encouraged them to come up with more age-appropriate vocabulary. We brainstormed around the group. "Give me a word, any word, that is a '6th grader' word". The students were calling out one simple word after another, and all of a sudden one boy said, "constipation??" I had to bite my lip and turn around. It took a good 30 seconds for me to regained my composure! "What does that mean", I questioned. "I'm not sure", he responded, "but I heard one of the teachers saying it in class before"
