Your last comment about needing more things to enjoy reminded me of this story, I teach children with autism and one day one of my students had lots of behavioral troubles all day long. As I was walking him to the bus that afternoon, I told him that I loved him. He asked me if I loved him even though he had been naughty all day. I assured him that I always loved him, but some days it was hard to enjoy him. He asked me what "enjoy" meant and I explained that when you enjoy someone, you smile when you think about them and you look forward to spending time with them because they are fun to be around. This brought tears to his eyes. He grabbed me in a big bear hug and looked at me through his tears and said, "Please enjoy me right now. Enjoy me for just a second before I get on the bus!" Of course I did!
