I often smile and relate my life as a school SLP to a story I recall from my youth. I had gone to work with my dad at his small TV store/repair shop for the day. When I came home that day and my mom asked me how it was I said, "Fine, but all they did all day was drink coffee and tell people their TV wasn't ready yet!" In the constant "changing gears" and "mental sets" of my day from one student's needs to the next I feel that they're all "unfinished business"- I too sometimes feel that all I'm doing is "drinking coffee" (not really!) and telling people their "TV's not ready!"
