Every year for one of my students, the dad would remind our team that his son is artistic. Yes, a little bit I think, but really he was AUTISTIC, and THAT was his "issue"!
And for another student's IEP, a (married) mother came in at 8:00 am, told us how hung over she was, and "Just so you know, there's another guy in my life right now".
