Last week I was working with a student using a voice output device. He's pretty good with it but will often act out and refuse to use it. This was one of those days. After several minutes, I turned my back to him and insisted he get my attention before I'd play with him. After a minute or 2 and several reminders, he was irrate. I turned around and sternly said, "You need to use your words!" I reached over and hit "Excuse me" and the batteries were dead!
