My second grade student came out of his classroom today and the first thing he said to me was, "Boy, are you having a bad hair day!" He sat down at the desk in the hall and kept chuckling as he looked at me. I asked if he could say his target words without laughing and he said "no, it's too funny."
(It's true and I actually agreed w/ him, but I can see that we need to work on making appropriate comments and when to hold back from blurting out everything you're thinking.) By the way, not too bad of a hair day --- one of those where you use a deep conditioning treatment and then your hair is kind of flat and won't curl. I didn't think it looked that bad though.
