When I saw a preschool student with Down Syndrome outside of the classroom, she greeted me with, "Hi Peach." Why would she think my name was Peach? I realized that whenever I came into her room, the teacher would announce, "Put away your things. It's time for speech." She thought "Speech" was my name and her approximation was "Peach".
