A little red-headed second grader burst into the speech room today and declared, "I know what I want to be when I grow up! I want to be a teacher!" When I asked him why, he replied, "Well, I'm really smart....but the real reason is......THE TEACHER'S LOUNGE! I could go in there and just REE--LAX!"
I hated to burst his bubble, but in 15 years I've never been in the teachers' lounge for lunch or anything resembling relaxing! Just no time!
