When I was completing my CFY a couple of years ago, I had 5th grade fluency client. We got along great although he did not always take my class seriously. On one particular day he was goofing off and not listening to the instructions I was giving him. I was really frustrated so without even thinking, I blurted out "What, Did I stutter?" He looked at me and asked what I said. I sheepishly said "nothing" and changed the subject quickly. Boy was I embarrassed! My husband loves to tell this story to people- he thinks it is hillarious!
