In the hearing impaired preschool classroom I was assisting at we were reading "The Big Red Barn." If you have ever read this book you will notice that the animals are very "anatomically correct." While reading the story we were talking about cows and how cows give milk. One of the children informed me that what I was pointing at was not a cow it was a bull because it has horns. We then went into a discussion that yes, it did have horns, but no it was a cow. She then was confused about the utters... Well needless to say we went on to discussing the ducks on the next page. :0)
