I work in a Catholic School. One day, one of my fourth grade students who has a frontal lisp had been down in the band room. When she came back up to her class, the class was gone so she came to my room for help in finding them. I asked her where she thought that her class might be. She said that she thought that her class was in "math". I know that the fourth grade stays in their homeroom class for math so I was a bit confused. I asked, "Well don't you have math in your classroom?". She looked at me funny and said very carefully, "No, I said 'ma-ss' and we have it in the church". I tried to hide a grin, but I thought that it was really cute.
