Thanks for sharing -- we all need reminders from time to time why we put up with all the paperwork, scheduling demands, etc. It's for the kids! Our profession allows so many opportunities to connect with kiddos who are so often misunderstood, underestimated, and left out of social and academic activities because of their communication impairments. The safe haven, trust, and encouragement we provide go a long way....and it feels just great to have that acknowledged and returned!
