I was working with an upper elementary age student who was substituting /s/ for voiceless /th/ at the end of words. She was reading a list of /th/ words and came to the name "Judith". She pronounced it correctly and then said, "Hey, I know Judith." I figured that she was going to tell me that her mother's friend was named Judith or something like that. Instead, she said, "You know, Judith. Judith who betrayed Jesus."
I couldn't stop myself from laughing. I had to tell her that she was thinking of Judas.
