I'm an SLP at 2 middle schools. Many of my students are working on vowel r which can be difficult to master. After several months one of my students went from producing the "uh" to a very good "er" with almost no intermediate productions. I made a very big deal out of it, as I was elated for her success! At the next session I reminded her to use her good "er" before we began reviewing vocabulary words. A student with Asperger's interjected "Yea, like the day you made Mrs. Clifford so happy!!!!!!!"
