An unmotivated student entered the room and was handed a map with different colored shapes on it. Then he saw big board pieces on the floor that were colored and shaped. I told him that I was going to blindfold myself and that he needed to tell me how to put the puzzle together. The first words out of his mouth, "What does this have to do with speech?" I chuckled and told him he would be able to answer his question in 10 seconds or less. Sure enough, the boy was amazed at the difficulty and just how much "speech" was invovled in that activity.
