Posted by Larry Antus I can't tell you much about it. The doctors themselves don't know much about it. All I can tell you is that it is some form of an auot-immune disease. she started by having the same sympton as you - the joint aches. It progressed to her skin and tissue- it was like she had a skin eating bacteria. She statred with small sores and they progressed to larger ones. Please, I don't know if this happens in all reported cases. As I said there is not much known about this disease. She went to the CLEVELAND CLINIC in Cleveland,Ohio and even they had never heard of it. What they found was only about 4 reported cases of eosinophilic fasciitis in the world. They don't know what causes this disease, so it's almost impossible to treat it. She had this for over 4 years. She was only 39 years old. It's hard to find much material about it. If you find anything please let me know. Also, I would like to know something about you. Nothing personal- just general info- ie: age- city or state- and anything-else you feel appropiate to tell.
