Please take Precautions. A friend was robbed this week at the Commercial in Bucerias. He went to the bank to cash payroll, returned to his car, started up, and then realized his car had a flat tire on the right rear passenger side. Returned to the mall to call for assistance, and that is when the money was stolen from his car. Passport, Id, Cards, Notebook with all of his data. The tire sidewall was cut with a knife.
This is a scam that has worked in Guadaljara, and in PV. Now it is in our area. When you go to the bank at the new Commercial in Bucerias, walk thru the grocery store first to get to your bank. People are watching in the parking lot, and looking for victims. Do not be so trusting, Always lock your car. If possible, shop in pairs or with a group. Do not use ATMs that are on the street or in open areas. Other people had two labrador puppies stolen from their car in October. The Manager at the Commercial did not care that customers had been robbed. Clearly better security is required at this new shopping center.

This is the 2nd story I've heard like this. 6 or 8 months ago Eve from Choco-Banana was at Mega (Commercial) loading her car with new Bistro Tables for the restaurant and had both front doors open while loading the back of her car. Someone came to the passenger side door and stole her purse without her ever seeing them.
If you've ever lost so much as a debit card you know how much it can mess up your life and how difficult it is to get them replaced.

Normally the victim leaves their doors unlocked, maybe even open.
Another robbery sceme I've heard mentioned is someone will put a flyer on the back window of your car. As you are backing out of the parking place, the natural tendancy is to just hop out and grab it off the window. And that may be all it takes for a thief to reach into your cr for your purse or bag.
Just like magicians, theives rely on simulation, misdirection and ditching, and switching to take advantage of their victims

ANOTHER MEGA ROBBERY
A friend of mine was robbed of his payroll at Mega. They slashed one of his rear tires and when he got out of his car to check it out, they got his money. IT happened that fast. These guys are good. Mega needs to institute some kind of security. CUIDADO!!
