Nicole Swedlow of EntreAmigos is starting collections for the needy
families in San Pancho. Although the economy has been good for most
of us in our little pueblo, there are still some families living
dangerously close to the poverty line.
You can help make it a great holiday by bringing non-perishable food
toys for young children, and gently used clothing in all children's
sizes to EntreAmigos. Boxed foods (crackers, cereal, flour, rice,
sugar, salt, milk, juice -- anything with a long shelf life) and
canned foods (coffee, vegetables, fruit, beans, etc.) are all needed.
Last year they provided very nice offerings to 14 needy families.
It was heartwarming to see the children, dressed in the best they
had, waiting by the front door for the promised delivery of food and
clothing.
Cash donations are also needed to buy whatever is not donated.
Please remember Entre Amigos charity drive when you are shopping in
Walmart, Mega, Sams and Costco.
And for those of you still on your way, please bring old clothing
your children have outgrown.
Thank you.
