John, I think it has been civil, you seem to be getting a little pushed out of shape here. No one is trying to pass the buck on anything, just being involved in the conversation which you started. I think it has been a good conversation, got a lot of people posting and commenting, thoughts and ideas have come forward on several issues, and people have been able to express themselves. You and I and everyone else has a right to express themselves and not be blasted. I no more brought my California standards to San Pancho than you brought yours. Which in reality I suppose we both do to a certain degree. Not sure where you got the impression anyone was trying to pass the responsibility to indigenous people. Either you read that wrong, or I wrote it wrong. The statement was only pointing out ownership in any country is percieved differently by many people. I think that by itself could be an interesting conversation, look at all the world conflict that have taken place around that concept. Anyway, I hope that everyone inputting on this topic, or any other topic, does it from a interest in good communication and deeper understanding. We all make mistakes, we all at time express ourselves in ways that are wrongly interpreted by others.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

: JFC Larry!
:
: Quit trying to pass off your and your
: investors' responsibility on the indigenous
: people of the world! There is no way that
: you can deflect YOUR responsibilty to
: "create a group of home sites for
: individuals who will respect not only one
: another, but also the environment"
:
: If this is the 21st century as Bobby Yo
: stated, step up to the plate, point to
: center field, and hit a home run. Fix the
: problem by taking the drainage through your
: property and on the river
:
: Very simple ....... all natural, all
: environmental, and all neighbor friendly
:
: You had a chance three posts ago to keep it
: civil, now it's on the verge of being
: confrontational, not "negative" as
: you earlier claimed.
:
: May I suggest that you open your heart and
: do what's right. You brought your California
: standards to San Pancho for a profit. If you
: were in California, your ass would have been
: sued by all your neighbors, a cease and
: desist order would have been slapped on you
: by local, city, state and federal government
: for impeding the natural waterflow,
: destruction of property, and illegal
: environnental damage and whatever lawyers
: over there could come up with to shut you
: down and put you away.

: Again I am happy to see everyone getting
: involved in all of this as I am certain you
: must all be bored with your own glass
: houses. The question of Calle Pakistan
: beyond the entrance to Las Mariposas is an
: interesting question. That land was bought
: with the understanding it was a road, others
: argued it was not a road, so to go along
: with a benefit of the doubt the entrance
: moved to assure the question of it being a
: road could be addressed to those locals and
: authorities whose issue it belonged to. If
: it is a road, private land, or whatever is
: still up in the air. I was told the road
: inside of Las Mariposas had to be 10 meters
: wide, the so called Calle Pakistan as it
: exists is barely wide enough for one car.
: Does anyone care to give up their land on
: either side to widen that street? Does
: anyone care to run the sewer line the rest
: of the way down the street? How about
: extending the water line? Putting in a drain
: and pump system to carry the rain water to
: the river? The land north of Las Mariposas
: is the 'new wasteland and dump'. Is that a
: concern? The flooding was there I suppose
: since the beginning of time. I do not hear
: anyone saying that the Judges house and wall
: blocked the 'floodplane' Hello, that water
: use to go all the way to the river, long
: before the Judge's house, long before Calle
: Saigon and all those houses, long before
: Tercer Mundo, and the bodegas etc. etc. The
: question as to if it ever flooded as much as
: it has recently can be answered by the
: photos that Juaquina (spelling wrong?) has
: where the water was almost up to her house,
: long before any wall existed. The question
: of mosquitos is a mute point as there are
: mosquitos everywhere, and where in that
: swamp area long before any wall. The store
: was built with full knowledge of the water
: issue, no question about it.
: Bottom line, I have not seen where anyone in
: town has ever concerned themselves with that
: area when it was a filthy, polluting dump
: site, with trash, dead animals, broken
: glass, and truck load after truck load of
: garbage dumped there. I know because I paid
: to have it cleaned up, buried, filled in
: etc. However now, many of you seem to think
: it is ok to talk about it as if it has
: recently become a problem based on the
: recent changes made. Wrong! If you are all
: so concerned with it, lets come up with a
: viable solution for all, I for one have
: several ideas and am willing to share a part
: of that cost, perhaps some of you other
: concerned citizens would like to put up as
: well to help out our neighbors. Maybe it has
: been a long wet season and everyone needs to
: get out for a walk, say high to their
: neighbors, wish them a good day and smell
: the flowers.
:
: Oh, I did have a curious question? does
: North America, or any country or land,
: belong to the indigenous people, the
: Europeans who came along or who? And if so,
: which ones? The first 10, 20, 30. Or is it
: the most aggressive and powerful? Was it the
: ones who gave of themselves, or the ones who
: took what they wanted at any cost? How do we
: make that determination? Because they were
: there first does that mean they have the
: right to keep it forever, or sell it at
: will? And if they sell it, does it belong to
: the people who bought it? Or do they have
: rights over it because they over powered the
: people there before them, does that mean it
: now belonged to them? Just curious.
:
: Wishing you all a great and thoughtful day.
: San Pancho is a magic place, lets all share
: kind thoughts and keep it that way.

: Hello Reality:
:
: 1. Floodplain: level land that may be
: submerged by floodwaters.
:
:
:
:
:
: 2. Yes, The area where Marposas is used to
: flood.
: Look at the waterline on the wall (Message
: Boards picture.)
:
: 3. The road "Calle Pakistan"
: existed before Mariposas.
:
: 4. Yes, drivers "misjudged" the
: depth and sunk cars, ask Faurest.
:
: 5. Yes, the store was built "Post
: Mariposas" but the water level never
: before reached the height of the pad, ever.
:
: 6. The residents say there are more
: mosquitos but, you have a valid point, lower
: surface area should mean lower mosquito
: numbers.
:
: I looked up Homework for you: preparatory
: reading or research (as for a discussion or

: Farmer you need do to some homework.
:
: You started off good stating 1 piece of
: reality abut the aria flooding every year.
:
: After that you really lost touch with me.
:
: Are you saying:
:
: The old swamp is now called the
: "Floodplain".
:
: Larry bought and built a nice neighborhood
: on 2/3 of it.
:
: This increased depth of water has now made a
: road that was not previously there
: impassable.
:
: This caused several people to hallucinate
: that they were really driving a boat.
:
: In addition, Marty's store constructed post
: Mariposas is somehow now affected and the
: smaller water surface aria is hosting more
: mosquito larvae.
:
: You will introduce me to the locals... I
: THINK NOT.
:
: Oh Yea, CHUCKY... THIS VILLAGE AIN'T
: JOHNS!!!
:
:
: GET A GRIP PEOPLE.
