Hi Dorothy -- yes, its pretty easy. Make sure you take the Cuota road -- you'll pay tolls but the road is great. From GDL its 3 1/2 t0 4 hours depending on traffic and how you drive.
The hardest part is when you leave the highway and you have to wind past compostella, Las Barras, etc on Highway 200.
Its a pretty safe drive -- good roads, lots of stop places. Just keep your eye on the road
