Mine were low this month. Maybe they only charge the high rates to people who live in more beautiful houses than mine to support the Christmas bonus distribution. Eventually, however, when this kind of thing has happened in the past, the next bills were lower . . . they can't charge more than the meter reads. But they sometimes take an "estimate" one month and adjust it the following month when the money needs aren't as pressing. This has happened to me a few times over the years. You just have to roll with it, though you can check your meter readings and they WILL correct incorrect readings.
