To all RNS Members;
Hi There,
I'd like to issue a special invitation to all of you to come to PEI on July 17 (10 AM START, REGISTRATION at 9 AM) for the 28th running of the Dunk River Run (7.22 miles/11.6 km) at Central Bedeque (start, finish, & reg. at Bedeque Rec Centre). It is located just 700 meters off Highway 1A. Only 12 km off the Confederation Bridge; simply take Rte 1 to Albany, then follow 1A West toward Summerside, exitng to your left just after the Mid Isle Motel in Central Bedeque. As a special incentive to the fleeter footed folk, we are offering a cash prize of $$200 for any runner breaking either the male course record (38:13, Pat Lee, Fredericton, N.B, 1993), or the female course record (44:40, Myra Fraser, Ch'town, PEI, 1993). But, there's lots of stuff for everyone!! Coffee mugs bearing the race logo are guaranteed to the first 60 registered runners, along with the official Dunk River medals, ribbons, and draw prizes. Refreshments will be served post race at the Rec Centre. Come and enjoy this classic of PEI road racing. Entry fee $10 for PEIRRC members, otherwise $11.
