Just to give you an update on my friends. They completed the 16 Half Ironmans (well Heather didn't complete one because she had an accident on her bike during one race and couldn't finish). Unbeknownst to most of us Ironman, who were very supportive of them, told them that if they completed the first 15, they would be invited to complete thie 16th at the Florida Half Ironman. That was quite the thrill for them to complete their awareness campaign for testicular cancer and acquired brain injury (ABI. Their blog contains a race report of all 16 races. If you are going to read just one, read the Brazil one. It shows what determination these folks had to complete their goal! They got to know many of the professional triathletes who thought they were crazy doing 16 Half Ironmans in such a short time!
