Sherry Carson 5000m...3rd overall, 10,000m...2nd in an impressive 40.55. Men Michael Wills...prolific 60+ performer. Terry Melloy Kevin O'Brien 100m...6th in age category. Ross Mitchell 1st in the 75+ category in the 100m. Dave Hiscock 5000m...5th in category in 19:00. Mike Leroux 1500m... a fast 4:29 for 3rd place followed the next day by a 3th place in the 800m, running 2:11:93, the fastest time among runners over 40. Mike will be back on the track this week-end, competing in the 800m 18+ open category at the Atlantic Championships in Lower Sackville. Congratulations Nova Scotia runners!

A number of Nova Scotians and RNS members competed in Moncton on the weekend. Some noteable performances were turned in by RNS runners. Tammy Hiscock won the women's 1500m overall in a time of 5:17. Terry Melloy was the class of the field in the 10,000, placing first overall and posting a time of 36:20. Raymond Moorehead missed first place in the 5000m by one second, placing second overall and first in his age group with an impressive 16:36.
There were many other excellent performances by Nova Scotians.
Christina Etter 200m...5th overall, 400m...2nd in age category and 4th overall.
1500m...3rd in age category.
800m... 3rd in his category in the most painful race on the track. 1500m...3rd in his category. 5,000m...an impressive 20:54 for 4th in category, and in the 10,000m, 43:20 to win his category.
Went under 5 mins in the 1500m to win his category. 5,000m...2nd in category.
10,000m...1st overall in 36:20 in his first track race.
