reserching my grand father david courtney from belfast in northen ireland who is now passed away im doing this on behalf of my own father he was in listed in to the royal regiment of artillery as a Gunner from 1931 till 1958 and was based in brighton he served in england /malasya/ceylon/france /germany/n.africa/ and was awarded the afican star/the italy star/france and germany star/ defenece medal/war madel 1939-1947 these medals were never cliamed this is what the family want to know how we can get these medals also we have no photos of him in uniform if any of his old friends are still out there with any iformation we would br very greatfull
