Did you serve on Sentosa, Singapore?
The Junior NCO’s and Other Ranks blocks are being turned into a hotel and Mark Cain (Vice President Projects for Cairnhill Group Holdings) is trying to find out the history of the barracks.
It is now part of The Tourism Academy of Sentosa and more information about the barracks and blocks can be seen at http://www.tourismacademy.edu.sg/tas_home/tas_about_us/tas_history.htm
The bulk of the soldiers stationed on Blakang Mati were artillerymen manning the coastal defence guns at Fort Siloso, Fort Connaught, Fort Serapong and Imbiah Battery.
